Anyone out there in the Kent / Medway area?????

I am a new mummy living in the Medway area & am getting really down that I just cant find any like minded people to spend some time with. I am in a civil partnership & our son is 15 weeks old. As soon as people find out that our son has 2 mummy's they back off! Are there any other lesbian or gay parents out there???? God I hope so

Hi there flatpackassemblyDiva, I just had a look at the website for rainbow families and it appears it's no longer in use, but if you email a friend of ours [email protected], she should be able to let you know when the rainbow families gang are next meeting up - it's a great group to be a part of! I'm pretty sure Jayne can hook you up! Good luck with the twins! Wow, you're not gonna be able to get out of the house, let alone get to social gatherings!!! Best of luck

So...we've made the big move and we're here in Kent! Would be great to meet up with some other gay mums and their kids, anyone fancy getting together in a few weeks time, around Leeds Castle area?

we live in Tonbridge... anyone still checking this thread? We are going to go to a group that meets in East London but it would be great if there was something going on a little closer to home. We used to live in south west London and met up with a group called South London Lesbian Mums, which was great but it's a bit of trek getting to their meet-ups.

We have one little boy and would really like to make a bit of a network of 'families a bit like us'.

Hello Kent parents,

We live in South East London a the moment (gay parents abound!) but are planning to move to Faversham or a nearby village with our nearly 5 year old. Our only reservation is how we will be received there as a gay family, particularly by local schools.

I'd particularly like to hear from JudeN how you find it in Faversham. We've gone and hung out at the playground in the recreation ground to try to get a sense of what the demographic is but am still unsure (apart from having gathered that it is very very white!).

And we'd love to come to a kent-gay-parents meet-up group if one is set up...

I'm part of an action group focusing on bringing LGBT family and friends of the Kent and Medway area together. We have organised a free picnic event at the Vines in Rochester on the 1st of September from 1-3pm. There will be entertainment for kids and adults and will be a great opportunity to meet other LGBT family's. Hope to see you there, don't forget your picnic.
