Hi

Just to say I'm going to organise a meet for gay parents/parents to be in a coffee place in St Albans as I have located on various boards at least 3 couples. I will put details on here but it would be great if you could indicate any interest here.

Hi

St Albans gay parents/parents to be has now formalised it's meeting schedule.

We are now meeting 1st Mon/Wed of each month alternating between Mon/Wed each month at 11am.

The next meetings are

Mon 7 Sept & then Wed 7 Oct

The plan for Mon 7 Sept is currently Willows farm www.willowsfarmvillage.com/ - kids over 2 are charged but there are often kids go free vouchers, for example they are on the back of parking tickets in radlett at the moment so keep your eyes peeled. I think the cost may be £7 an adult as it is outside peak time (peak is £11.50). There are good picnic areas so I would suggest those that can go club together to make a picnic we can share.

Let me know if you can make the meetings so we can look out for everyone.

Just moved to the area. My partner and I are parents-to-be ... hopefully! Do you ever meet at weekends or evenings as we work on Mon/weds but would love to meet up with new friends.

CJ75 · 17/11/2009 08:24

I hope everyone is well & can make the next meet 11am Wed 2 Dec at Willows Farm www.willowsfarmvillage.com/ - it's been a while so I am looking forward to seeing you all.

We can meet by the2-4 area of Woolly Jumpers, the indoor soft play area (or in it). For lunch I suggest a packed lunch or eat in the cafe at woolly jumpers.

By our formula the next meeting should be 4 Jan (Mon) - it would behelpful to know if anyone can do this and if there is a venue suggestion (without a suggestion I will be suggesting soft play in Berkhamsted www.thekidzone.co.uk/about/index.html as long as itis open).

Let me know if you're coming!

(We are meeting weekdays at the moment but there is nothing to stop people who want to meet at other times joining the email list I do in addition to posting here & seeing if anyone else is up for this - just contact me with your email details)

Next meeting we meet at 2pm onwards in DJ Jungle www.djsjungleadventure.co.uk on 10 May (2010)

I've decided we should play it safe (weatherwise) on venue but I'm hoping we can chance a picnic in the park later on in the year?

Please message me if you'd like to join us - we have a facebook group now on which I am better at posting details of monthly meetings

Hi, I am very interested in meeting other lesbian parents, we live in North London, only about 20 mins from St Albans. I live with my wife and 2 beautiful girls (3 yrs and 1 month). Only know one other lesbian couple with kids, so would love to get to know others. Currently on maternity leave. I know that I have missed your last get together but only just joined Mumsnet!

othermumherts · 20/06/2010 15:39

Just found this site. My partner is having our little boy in August. We both work in London but live in Welwyn Garden City and would love to meet other gay mums in our local area.

holland69 · 29/06/2010 21:24

Hi othermumherts, I would be interested in meeting up, WGC not a million miles away! I am currently on maternity leave so am free anytime. Your partner must be getting big now with the baby due soon? Is this your first?

ToniG · 30/06/2010 22:05

Hi guys,
Just joined, my partner and I would like to meet other lesbian mums.
My partner has a 5 year old and I am looking into adopting a 4 year old child. We would like to increase our circle of friends. We live in Elsree and loughton, and work in london. If you are interested in meeting for a coffee within the next couple of weeks...
we would like to hear from you.

othermumherts · 07/07/2010 19:50

Hi holland69, yes it's our first and I'm getting really excited (and worried) now. Partner on maternity leave from next week and I'm a teacher so will be finishing work in 2 weeks. I'll change my contact settings so that you can more easily contact me as i don't check this that often.

holland69 · 14/07/2010 18:35

I too dont check this too often so happy for you to email me direct on [email protected] . Your partner must be getting big (!!) the last month is a killer, as baby grows so much and gets so big. You will find that being a teacher is a godsend, when yours is older as school holidays are a pain for working parents, and my oldest doesn't even start until September! Where do you teach? What age?

holland69 · 14/07/2010 18:37

Hi also interested in meeting new lesbian mums. Do you live in Elstree (was that a typo?) as no far from us in Southgate. Happy to meet for a coffee sometime.

holland69 · 14/07/2010 18:41

Sorry about message for ToniG (not very good at this!)

holland69 · 15/07/2010 09:42

Hi Othermumherts, I am really rubbish at getting this right. The above message with my email address etc. is for you!

ToniG · 21/07/2010 20:07

Hey hey holland69 thanks for your reply. Sorry that ive not got back sooner, dont use this site much. Im glad you can meet up for a coffee, im pretty flexible next week so if you fancy meeting let me know. I know southgate pretty well so we can meet around there if you like. Speak to you soon.

Kate78W · 05/08/2010 21:31

Hi all - have posted on a few threads now, still figuring out how this site works! - just looking to meet up with other gay/bi mums in Herts.

I'm in St Albans.

Jekeysmum · 12/01/2011 12:33

Hi - we are in Croxley and despite meeting lots of lovely straight mums it would be great to sit and have a coffee with mums in the same situation as us...

CJ75 · 01/04/2011 12:07
