Just to let you know that after 4 hours of labour (how lucky was she), Soapy has delivered us a beautiful baby boy. Both doing well.

After all the advice you lovely people gave to her about coming out to her antenatal class, maybe you can offer some pointers on how to clean a tiny willy !!

(i don't know you/her but am nosey!)

Wonderful news - congratulations to you both.

As for willies - don't know much about them, I'm afraid

Dorchies · 03/03/2009 21:52

Congratualations!! We have a boy due in may, and haven't got a clue what to do with willies - you're a few months in front of us, so maybe you could let us know when you find out!

thisisyesterday · 03/03/2009 21:54

congrats to her!

as for the willy, well they don't need much. just warm water and cotton wool is fine, wipe it gently and make sure it is free of poo!

muffle · 03/03/2009 21:57

Congratulations! Boys are great.

I would love to have a a girl too, but one thing that worries me is how do you clean them? Boys are easier surely! You just get wet cotton wool and clean and wipe all over (don't forget under the balls!) Don't try to clean inside the foreskin, it cleans itself - just clean the outside.

MrsMattie · 03/03/2009 21:58

Wonderful! Congrats to you both.

I felt the same about boy's bits when I had my DS, but got so used to it I was when I had a DD and was so scared of cleaning her in case I hurt her.

warm water and gentle but thorough wiping - and leave the foreskin alone ie. never roll it back and try to wash underneath. It will ease back naturally in a few year's time

never been in here beford but have to pop in to see babies being born.

Many congratulations.

Just a little something i didn't know when i had my eldest son, when you change the nappy, make sure willy is pointing downwards, otherwise you'll be changing whole outfits every time he wees.

Thanks for all the good wishes. We are getting on well with gregor...and his willy!
He is absolutely gorgeous, and so far has both his mummies wrapped around his tiny fingers!

hester · 05/03/2009 21:16

Lovely to hear from you, Soapy. So glad you, Goalie, little Gregor, and little Gregor's willy are all doing well.

When you can raise your head from the fog of sleep deprivation, pooey willies, garked up milk etc, come back and tell us everything!
