I don't know if anyone has seen or is aware? There is a LGBT+ Festival in Ipswich in July. I know a couple of people who are performing as I often go to Prides and have been taking my children for many years. I was told by my friends that some of the Drag Queens and Drag Kings are not family friendly. One of the Drag Kings they have booked is actually a bdsm and fetish performer and has done events for the adult fetish website Fet Life. I contacted the organiser to talk about my concerns and he was very flippant! He then threatened me with the police because I was trying to ask him WHY he thinks it is OK to book fetish performers. As far as I am concerned a family friendly Festival should not be booking bdsm performers. I do not understand WHY this seems to be such a problem for the event organiser. To be threatened with the police for making a complaint was not what I expected at all! I was told that the police had traced my ip address and would be visiting my house! I have seen how the police are targeting anyone with an opinion these days and I am terrified! All I wanted was to take my children to a festival and ensure their safety. A group of us local mums are getting together to protest about this event and I would like to know if anyone else has had similar experiences with these people?

yes i have found Pride events increasingly dominated by persons who want to make everyone else squirm. Perhaps I should stick to Prude events but really i preferred it when it was a celebration of different kinds of love and relationships not a kink platform for show offs. You'll not get far with your protest i fear
