Hello,

Does anyone having any recommendations for books for talking to young children about sperm donor conception? Or also general advice for introducing the topic?

Our DD is only 11 months old, so too young to understand at the moment but we want to talk about it with her as early as possible. She was conceived through ivf with an anonymous, but open, sperm donor.

Thanks!

The Donor Conception Network sell one called 'Our Story: How We Became A Family' which is quite nice. You can order it tailored to your specific circumstances (heterosexual or gay couple, IVF or not, etc.). It's a picture book so you can just read it to her as a normal story.

This is a really clever idea, I like the tailor made aspect.
