Known donor from abroad - some donation questions!

Hi All! First time posting.

My wife and I (F/F) are looking to have children soon through donor sperm and IVF. We have a friend from abroad who we would love to be our donor, but they're outside the EU and it's quite expensive for them to come over. We have a few questions if anyone can answer any!

• Can we pay for them to have a trip to the UK, where they by chance also donate?
• How long does the sperm donation process take?
• How many times would they need to come to the UK?

My situation is different as we used a known donor and did it diy at home. When we were getting impatient as it was slow to work we did enquire about using a clinic and there were a lot of hoops to jump through if he wasn’t just donating to the general pool for anyone to use. That might not be helpful, i don’t know specifics to your questions sorry. We now have two children and can answer any other questions about the known donor aspect if you like!
