Hi folks!

Looking for a bit of advice, me and my wife are trying to have a baby, we have decided I am carrying the baby, but we are looking for some advice from other lesbians who have been through the process and/or some groups where we can get some advice!

No advice for you here apart from go for it! Good friends of mine, a lesbian couple, had a child through donor insemination. They are the most fantastic mums!

I'm a lesbian mum in Scotland. Depending on your age and how long you've been together, you should be eligible for treatment on the NHS, so it's worth asking your GP for a referral if you haven't already. My partner and I decided to go private for various reasons. Happy to answer any questions about the clinic we chose and the process if you send me a PM.

Hi, we have an 18 month old – my wife carried her, I'm hoping to carry the next one. Our daughter was conceived by AI at home with a known donor, but we are going to begin IVF for the second soon. My wife and I have 1 year old twins. We went through a clinic privately (Wales not Scotland though) and had several goes at IUI with an anonymous donor. That approach was the one we were most comfortable with, but definitely worth looking into whatever options are available and would suit your circumstances best.
