Hi there. I’m really interested in a chat about how you came to get pregnant and your journey.

@Jf08x we're having an IVF baby with an anonymous sperm donor. It's been a bit of a journey- We had a look into Pride Angel and tried a few attempts of insemination a couple of years ago and also looked into the adoption route before biting the bullet with IVF. Personally all routes had their pros and cons and took a lot out of me either emotionally/psychologically or physically. Pride Angel and insemination felt kinda seedy but didn't cost anything, my wife is in her late 40's and I'm 35 though so we didn't feel we had the luxury of time, with adopting there's a lot of hoops and red tape to jump through, felt like they look into every aspect of your lives past and present and also make you go on courses about parenting and join groups and things... as a proud introvert that was all my wort nightmare! But for others I imagine it's a really positive way to start a family as there's loads of support with it. We finally settled on IVF, first cycle they retrieved 6eggs, 2made it to blastocyst stage so one went back in (didn't make it) and the other in the freezer. We started a frozen cycle the same month and now expecting a baby girl. Has cost us about £15k in total and the process of getting here is now a long distant memory! Where are you at in your journey? 😊
