Hi All,

Wondering if there are any Lesbian Mum families that would like to make friends in London. My Wife and I have 3 week old twin boys.

Hi. What part of London do you live in?

BuffyFanForever · 18/03/2021 05:48

Hi NW London 😊

Aww. We are in South East so the complete opposite!

BuffyFanForever · 05/04/2021 19:45

Happy to travel abit or meet in central. 😊 how old are your little ones?

Hey. Sorry for the delay in replying! My daughter is 18 months! So quite a bit older. How are you finding motherhood? I still miss all the sleep I used to get. Haha.

BuffyFanForever · 06/05/2021 11:56

Hey @mb29 ah sleep I can’t even remember what that feels like lol. It’s all ok. We live in a flat with a tiny lift so our (super narrow fits everywhere else) pram doesn’t fit so getting out and about had been difficult. Got a new single one and a sling so going to try that when I have the energy to try and put it together! 😊

Haha. O that is annoying! Hopefully the new apron and sling will help. We found getting out and about was a lifesaver. We found that the sling was a life saver and it also meant my partner could easily breastfeed in public.

Have you got any family nearby? We don’t have anyone and we only left my daughter alone for the first time last week. She was fine which was a great relief.

BuffyFanForever · 06/05/2021 12:18

Was too nervous about the sling before, I’m abit clumsy! But have ended up having to carry the babies anyway to get out so thought the sling should work ok!
My in-laws live in Essex but my family are in Shropshire so not super near. It must have been nerve wracking for you to leave her after all that time! Where about a do you live?

I remember the sling being a bit scary at first. The straps etc but I think you get used to it pretty quickly and it is great to have your hands free!

My partner’s brother and family live in Chingford which is about an hour or so away. So it’s not too bad. I guess luckily before lockdown my partner went to lots of groups and has made a good group of friends. She visits a number of different children's centres!

We live near Bromley/Croydon way. What about you? Though my partner would love to move back to the Chingford area etc.

BuffyFanForever · 08/05/2021 10:39

That’s great that she’s made lots of parent friends. We’ve got a little group WhatsApp of people that had treatment at our clinic the same time as us but we live all over so haven’t met in “real life” yet. We are in NW London :)
