Does anyone know where I might get a nice congratulations / good luck card for my friends who are about to foster a child?

I wasn't particularly wanting a card that said "well done & congratulations you are a lesbian foster parents now"!!! I think where I am having a problem is actually finding a card that doesn't have a "its a boy" or "its a girl" relating to parents of newborn babies rather than new parents of older children - but maybe I haven't looked hard enough eh? And maybe I have asked the question in the wrong discussion site.

sorry aljo didn't mean to offend you.

What about making something?

Kelly1978 · 25/04/2007 13:51

maybe you could try to commission one, post in the crafts topic, if you aren't into card making yourself.

I think an ordinary 'good luck' card would be lovely - shows you're thinking of them!

Try WH Smith. I saw a line of gay card by the register about a week ago. However, I don't know that any were for fostering/adopting childrem. They might have just been anniversary type cards. Anyway, you might want to have a look.

I personally feel a great congratulations card with some well chosen personal text inside would be as good as anything...

I've seen cards in Clintons which say, 'welcome to the new addition to the family'. Failing that, i'm sure John Lewis do cards for alternitive celebrations.
