Sharing experiences of pregnancy and conception

Hi all,
I'm am in the process of writing a book to help/guide lesbian mums and future mums. Personal experience has taught me that it is an exceptionally stressful and complicated process and I myself would love to read the stories of others.

I was wondering/hoping if any lesbian mums who have concieved before would mind sharing their stories with me - some of which may be used in the book. Obviously, all names will be changed etc but please get in touch if you wouldn't mind sharing your wonderful and varied tales.

I feel a bit rude asking, but ... did you clear this with MNHQ? Usually people using the site for profit (journalists etc.) have to ask and sometimes to pay a fee.

FWIW DP and I didn't find the process stressful or complicated. We were very lucky, but my experience of trying to conceive and remain pregnant in a heterosexual partnership were far more stressful. I would feel a bit uneasy about a book that seeks to talk about how bad it all is. There's so much of that attitude everywhere already.

I didn't realise that it had to be cleared. I'll have to contact them asap. The focus of the book isn't supposed to be negative or about the stresses. The idea is to make couples who are feel stressed or worried about the process, feel more assured and realise that there is light at the end of the tunnel. We have 3 couples enrolled at the moment who are willing to share their experiences and anecdotes.

...and we would always love more. We're looking at everything from adoption to known doners ect. It's all positive and a guide book to those who want to know more :-)

Who's 'we'?

My wife and I are writing the book together. After a tricky experience ourselves we are looking for a book to inspire others and give them hope.

You might want to change your pseudonym on here - you've unfortunately chosen a name that makes it look as if you're the author of a really dodgy fiction book about threesomes. And that might make people think you're just, you know, trawling for stories about lesbians ...
