A SAFE PLACE FOR ALTERNATIVE FAMILIES TO MEET.
It's based in North London, but you don't have to live in North London to come along. It is open to any/all gay/lesbian/bi/trans-gender parents / carers / adopters / pregnant people and their children / bumps… and costs £5 per session.
(This is to cover the cost of the venue hire/tea/coffee/juice etc…and can be paid on the day – no need to pre-book).
When I was pregnant I spent ages looking for a group and unbelievably I couldn't find a local one! I felt that a designated, safe & warm inside space was desperately needed; so we could share our experiences of parenthood and to drink a decent cup of tea/coffee and chat in a warm/dry place (not freezing/getting soaked in a park).
Also for our children to meet and play with other children from gay families.
If you are single / on your own, you can bring a friend with you, they’re more than welcome. It can feel intimidating to walk into a group you don’t know on your own… we are all very welcoming/inclusive/gentle! If you are unsure, please contact me.
