Hoping to start a new family...

Hey!

My partner and I have been together almost 5 years and we are hoping to take the next step within the next 18 months and begin trying to start a family.

I'm really looking for some same sex parents who have started or are going to start new families. Would love to be able to talk to someone that can relate to what we are trying to do as I have come across lots of information on the internet and it just seems like such a lot to take in!

If there are any groups or people just interested in chatting please let me know. We live in Hackney and Essex so anywhere in, around or between those areas would be perfect!

Hi, Kym! My wife and I live in South East London (we recently moved from the Hackney area). We are currently expecting our first child - I'm six and a half months pregnant. It seems like yesterday (and at the same time, a million years ago) since we first started talking about starting our family. It looks like you posted awhile ago, but if you want to talk about the process you're going through I'd love to hear from you! Good luck to you and your partner and the journey you are on!

I'm 5 wks pregnant and live in Essex with my partner. We tried the AI at home method but finally got pregnant through IVF.... So can probably answer a few of your questions xx

Hey we are in West Sussex and we now have a 4 month little girl. we conceived through Ai August last year. Good luck with starting your family but if you want to chat u can send me a message. It was difficult for us to begin with finding out all the different info but when it happens it is an amazing feeling! :)

I know of 2 groups for parents and parents to be in London that meet regularly and where you would be very welcome, with our without children:

• Rainbow families, every first Sunday of the month 2-4pm in Mile End, E1. They have a Facebook Group "Rainbow Parents London" you can request access to which has details.
