I enjoyed it too; lucky children.

Bossybritches22 · 07/10/2011 00:08

Indeed rhetorician, but lucky parents too.

To have such a wonderful trio of friends, that can have such a civilised approach to co-parenting must be a dream come true for all of them!

I look forward to reading his regular column now....maybe we could get him on MN??!

I'd say it's a fairly unusual set-up, although i know of some similar ones; we have an involved donor, but not very involved, at least compared to this. Having 3 parents would be brilliant

Bossybritches22 · 07/10/2011 19:56

oh god yes very unusual, I would think unless you really know & trust the donor not very involved might have it's advantages!

(not wishing to mock) :)

it certainly does! it would have been even better if the article had given the mother's pov - am I right in thinking that she is not gay?

wrighty2010 · 09/10/2011 14:09

Thanks, really enjoyed reading that xx

Bossybritches22 · 09/10/2011 14:17

Not sure rhet- yes it would have been interesting, maybe we;ll hear more about her pov coming through in his articles.

I might email him & suggest it!

Wrighty-you're welcome. I did too & it's so nice to read a positive gay parenting article I had to share.

Being a Corrie fan Blush (now my secret is out ) I've been quite impressed with the gay storylines they cover, I know it's dramatised for telly but some massive holes have been punched through homophobic stereotypes in a lot of ways.

the column is slightly strange - hopefully he will get into his stride in due course, but it was...well...dull, I thought. Exactly the same issues as everyone else - which of course is brilliant, but not that interesting to read about.

Can someone link properly please? I can't view it on iPad.

I guess to him it's interesting.....reads a bit "dad-obsessed" which he naturally is!

As you sat rhet hopefully he'll get into it a bit more!

don't get me wrong, I love the fact that it's there, just not sure that he's that good a writer!

Bossybritches22 · 10/10/2011 00:06

Possibly not rhet I agree, time will tell!
