civil partnership - can't find an appropriate card

Hi,

I am new on this part of the board, but I need a small bit of advice. (sorry if this is a flippant request)

My two very close friends are having a civil partnership in a couple of months. I am so excited for them; I have been like this Grin since I heard the news. However, I have had no luck getting a suitable card. Nothing in the card shops, or big supermarkets. I checked on line (Hallmark and Clinton) they only have one card which isn't really suitable; it says "Mrs and Mrs" on the front which isn't probably how my friends would describe themselves.

Any links/ideas would be very welcome. I'm not after a big selection, just a choice of more than one! :)

Try moonpig.com, perhaps you could create your own?

Thanks for your reply. I might do that. :)

I was a bit disappointed that the selection is so poor. I know that weddings are far more common than civil partnerships, but I expected the big companies like Clinton to have provided one or two decent options.

I'm surprised as I have seen loads -have you tried paper chase, or any small independent gift/card shops near by? Or e bay?

onepieceoflollipop · 22/09/2010 19:14

geordieminx thanks for your advice. I will try paperchase (forgot about them). Perhaps my mistake was going for the big card shops in the first place.

Paperchase had a good selection last year when I was looking for a card.

PaulineCampbellJones · 22/09/2010 19:21

Have seen quite a few in Paperchase.

onepieceoflollipop · 22/09/2010 19:28

That is fab, thanks so much. I am going to a local town on Sat that has both paperchase and JL. :) (we don't have either of those shops in my nearest town)
