Hi, my name is Kat, I'm 29 and have a 15 month old son. I haven't come out of the closet yet but I've split up with my ex partner who is the father of my son. I have no idea where to go from here. I don't know any other lesbians. I've had a few flings with women in the past but never a relationship. I'm completely clueless and feel very alone right now.

Is there anyone in a similar position or has been there before? Or could just offer a few words of advice? Thanks so much.

Hi kat. Not in exactly same position as you but just wanted to say that I'm a single lesbian mum too. You're not alone by any means and i hope you find some help on here!

I can’t help with the real life stuff, but if you haven’t already, check out latebloomerlesbians on Reddit. It’s a supportive community with lots of women in the same position you describe.

Depending on where you live there should be something LGBTQ for you to join/attend. Also, online there is a forum called empty closets, it's brilliant, chat to other LGBTQ people, all different, but all interesting to read. I'm on there, I'm the B in LGBT! 🙂🏳️‍🌈

Hey I'm 23 and a single lesbian mum to a 18mo. I know how alone it can feel! Have a look on Facebook or the app peanut for local LGBT family groups. My local group does meet ups etc x
