Is there a way to find out if a child psychologist is gender critical in Alberta Canada?

My friend has a son who has a referral to a child psychologist. Despite never having shown any signs of gender dysphoria, one guidance counselor at his previous school suggested he might be a girl. She wants to make sure this psychologist doesn’t do the same.

I can’t get anywhere using google to find out about gender critical therapists. All search engines are shockingly captured.

Is she starting from a blank slate or wanting to know about a particular therapist? You can usually tell as they list their specialisms and pronouns. I’d say a therapist who chooses not to list pronouns is a safe bet.

My default assumption would be that anyone in Canada who accepts referrals from schools from guidance counsellors who think kids are trans is 99.9% going to be affirming

I would seek out recommendations specifically from gender critical groups rather than just hoping a random "child psychologist who helps with trans issues" is going to be GC!

I think Canada is one of hte worse affected countries.

Perhaps find an online counsellor from another country.
