My DD has been totally against going to Dubai due to how they treat women and LGBTQ. She always said she couldn’t go anywhere that she couldn’t b herself ie a lesbian. She has now decided she wants to go as lots of her friends r doing a semester there. I’m told the University is pretty westernised but still worry. Anyone gone to Dubai before? How was it?

I've never been but I thought women are treated really well there. There are women only trains and apparently it's very safe to walk about even at night.

as long as she is not doing any pdas then I think she'd be fine

Women are treated incredibly well in Dubai. We’ve been many times on holiday. It’s totally and utterly safe. Women can walk anywhere alone at 3am and nothing will happen. There is no theft, women won’t be mugged, catcalled, assaulted. It’s the safest place I’ve ever been as a woman.
