I have name changed for this as I wish to keep some of the details private which would otherwise be found out from previous posts under my usual username (if anyone searched for them).

I have been on MN for about 13 years though so I am a genuine member.

I don’t want to give away my child’s sex or age so as not to bias any replies, but I just wanted to know if any of you suspected your child was same-sex attracted before they actually told you? And if so, what age did you start to question their sexuality and why?

Thank you.

I knew I wasn't straight at the age of about 10.

I just knew. I looked at a pretty lady with attractive features, and I felt this weird feeling even as a 7-8 year old, and I later realised what that feeling was.

I knew my son was likely to be gay from about 2 years old! He played with girls toys, pretended he had long hair, dressed up in his sisters clothes.
He's 16 now and gay :)
My daughter is also gay, that didn't surprise me either as she was a bit of a tomboy.
They're twins and people used to laugh that they were the wrong way round, he loved Barbies and princesses, she loved football and trousers lol
