I wish I'd seen this when my child said they were trans

Hello, I saw this and thought it might help with some of the confusion we parents feel when a child announces that they are trans. When it happened to us we were so confused - we love our child, we are happy for them to be them, we just dont want them to harm themselves, obviously.
we got very conflicting advice off the school/friends etc, which added to our stress and made me doubt my own sense of reality. I thought this might be worth watching as it is how one mother responded to her child's situation.
Obviusly i am not trying to provoke anyone into desisting, if that is what they choose, it is more of a guide as to what to expect. Thank you.

Wow. I just sat down to watch this and it’s very powerful. I truly wish I’d been able to watch this 3 years ago, when I had time before my own daughter became an adult and left for college. As I’ve previously posted, once they turn 18 all bets are off and it’s a fine line between speaking our truth and estrangement from your adult child. It’s terrifying in all honesty. 3 years ago all I managed to read was how I needed to affirm my child to save them from being suicidal. Now I’ve had time to read (both sides of the issue in fairness) and research and I’m so upset that I didn’t know then what I know now. What I wouldn’t give to have watched this then. Thanks for posting.
