What mental health support for gender dysphoria

My DS has been seeing an art therapist for a year but for various reasons I’m ending the therapy.

he’s been experiencing gender dysphoria since April 2022 but struggles to discuss anything to do with himself or his feelings (he has not socially transitioned in any way and has come out to a small handful of friends) so I’m trying to work out what kind of support we can get him - is a clinical psychologist best or continue on the route of therapy? I think family therapy might help to give him dedicated space to talk to us (we have a weekly dog walk put aside to discuss but he struggles with that even) but he def needs a professional who is going to explore the reasons behind the gender dysphoria because we feel there is underlying trauma from a huge geographical move that may or may not be linked

Yes, and the Bayswater group and I’ve been in touch with Dr Hakeem but struggling to find help locally (we’re not in London)

he’s very very private so doesn’t fit the usual narrative of teens coming out and demanding pronoun and name changes etc. nobody would ever know and it’s tied up with him generally being unable on any level to express his feelings and needs
