Anyone got any useful articles on binders and their long term effects (or not) on young girls. Physically and mentally.

Not looking for opinions on trans people tbh I want to know facts to support a family member.

I know you are looking for articles but if you want simple facts I would call a doctor that treats trans patients. Just call and ask for the long term effects on the body. You are unlikely to find an article that holds no bias whatsoever and a quick google search will give you lots of misinformation. Plus a lot of effects listed in articles result from improper binding. Mentally, you can't really get an unbiased fact on bc how people are affected is going to be opinion.

It is my understanding that they are not advised at all for children. This is a useful guide. There is perhaps some space for interpretation for some methods between the "not proven to be harmful" and "not proven to be safe".
