Parents of children / young adults who have gone through hormonal/surgical transition - what was your experience of it?

Just that really. I am the parent of a child who wants to transition. We have our concerns, but I have not been able to find the experiences of other parents who have been through it. If you have, I’d be very grateful if you could share your story.

Sharonn77. We are talking about a medical process that will involve my child going through amputation and potential sterilisation. Of course I ‘accept my child for who they are’. He is a complicated, crazy, creative, autistic dynamo who I love. I would be a terrible parent if I didn’t try to learn as much as possible about the procedures and to hear about other’s experiences.
