I am very proud of Nathan no matter what I am so supportive! #soproud

I'm lesbian and my mum was just the same. Love her so much.

Highfalutinlootin · 25/02/2021 02:50

You do know possessing a flag does not make one LGB, right? And I don't see one's child's sexuality as something to be proud of no matter what it is. It just is. Bizarre post.

Mummyoflittledragon · 25/02/2021 03:04

Of course, love and support your child but a flag doesn’t mean he’s gay.

Nowayhozay · 26/02/2021 11:24

Glad that you are supportive of your son, but as others have said, owning a rainbow flag doesn't necessarily mean that he is gay or trans.

My son has a Chelsea flag, means that he supports them not plays for them !

Ilovemaisie · 26/02/2021 11:52

My daughter has a pride flag, a trans flag, a bi flag, a lesbian flag and a flag that I can't remember what it represents all hanging on her wall.
She says she "isn't sure yet" about "what she is".
She is 12. I am proud of her for being my daughter - not for her sexuality.

LindaEllen · 26/02/2021 12:05

I have a pride flag as I have attended a few Pride festivals with gay friends.

I am completely 100% straight.

Please stop looking under your son's bed. You will eventually find something you are not proud of #crustysocks #penisbeaker

  • She says she "isn't sure yet" about "what she is". She is 12.*

She's 12. Why is she even giving it so much thought?

LynetteScavo · 27/02/2021 08:43

It's a brave woman who looks under her sons bed.

minniemoocher · 27/02/2021 08:52

Dd has the "pan" flag because it means inclusion. The only relationships she's had are with men but today's youth are a lot more open to possibilities in my experience, especially girls

Ilovemaisie · 27/02/2021 09:13

Leopard because she is 12. It's called puberty and growing up and finding out about yourself.

You are proud of your child for owning a flag?

00100001 · 27/02/2021 09:18

That's nice dear.

Rosebud2005 · 27/02/2021 23:39

My sons friend bought him one, he is gay and spoke to me about it. He wasn’t sure how he felt himself about the flag as his friend wanted him to have it on display. I said it’s up to him, it’s his room. We don’t have an issue if it’s what makes him happy. It’s only a flag, there’s more to him than a piece of fabric

Absolutely amazing to see children are so supportive of pride flags and the LGBTQ+ community!!
