Bf staying over

My son is gay. He is 18 and has just completed his first term at Uni. He has met a lovely bf at Uni who lives close to us, about 30 minutes away. He is staying over tonight for the first time. I also have a 12 year old daughter and 15 year old son. Are we doing the right thing letting the bf stay over. My head says yes my heart says - I’m not ready for this!!

How did it go? Did the boyfriend stay over? My dd had a sleepover with a girlfriend and I decided it was OK. It is a personal choice. But she was younger than your son.

@Cliff1975 although I should say there were no younger children in the home and maybe with younger ones you want to limit who comes to the house. Plus this was before Covid.

He came to the house, stayed over and all was fine. The next day I said to my son, it was fine you were both respectful. To which he replied that is the benefit of living in a house with thick walls. OMG too much information!

so we let his bf stay over, he assured us they are in a relationship it i serious etc, I have now discovered he has been meeting others through the internet so I now feel a fool for allowing his bf to stay over.

He's an adult, you can't control what he does. If you try, he will have sex elsewhere and just resent you.
