Do you think you'd know if you were gay or not at 12?

Just having a conversation with DD1 (12)

My ds who is 11 is gay he came out last summer but I knew he was have done for a few years

I always knew on some level, but consciously knew from 11 or 12. But my now girlfriend didn't know until her early 20's

I knew from about 12 but not properly until I was older (my interest in boys did throw me off a little), but I have friends who have known since they were about 5! Not really knowing what gay meant, but when all the little kids were talking about boyfriends and girlfriends at preschool, she too wanted a girlfriend, in a very innocent way!

If you can feel attracted to the opposite sex at any age, the same can be said for the same sex. Personally, I knew I liked both at age 7. But hey, maybe that's just me and I had different experiences to most LGBT+ youth.

Yes, I was ten when I knew I was gay, and I wish I hadn't had 5 boyfriends trying to 'fit in' until I was 17.
