My ds who is 13 told me and my oldest daughter who is 21.that he's gay. It wasn't a suprise I thought he might of been for the past couple of years. We gave him a big hug and I told him I'm a proud of him and there is nothing he needs to worry about.

You sound like a lovely mum, perfect reaction and your ds must be really secure in himself and his relationship with you to tell you.

I worked myself up terribly before telling my parents I'm bi and had a girlfriend, was a nervous wreck. They barely blinked at it or gave it a second thought. I was 30 Grin Wish I'd done it years ago now.
