Ds1 is almost 16. I've encouraged him to have a small gathering of his friends to celebrate. He goes to a regional academy of performing arts so friends are from a wide area. So the usual is to have a sleepover post party. Whilst discussing arrangements he said "most of my close male friends are gay". I said "not sure what sexuality has to do with it, im not saying you need 5 boys and 5 girls, have more boys if you like!", but then he said "sleeping arrangements??!". He may have a point! The one room for girls and second for boys might not work here. They are all year 11 so 15 and 16. His girlfriend wont stay over as her parents will pick her up.
Part of me is saying they are all 16 or nearly 16 so its fine? Let them sleep where they want?. Then another part of me saying eeeek not sure i want 10 teenagers getting up to stuff all over the house!
This is his first party so only had the odd friend staying over in the past.
