A relative of mine has been charged with this, started a fight while out drinking. Police called and he tried to take them on as well, was physical towards the police including biting one.

He's been in prison before for drug offences though hasn't been in trouble for 5 years.

Is prison likely?

Looking more closely, 123evo's post is actually from 2015 so there's no bloody way this should have come up on trending without anyone posting on it. Definitely a glitch of some sort.

BarbaraofSevillle · 15/01/2018 15:15

The Zombie warning was clear as day when I spotted this on 'trending' earlier this afternoon.

I was going to post about how it sounded like a case when I did Jury service where whether or not the accused went to prison was up to the judge to decide, ie what sort of history the person in question had and whether they had shown remorse, got help for their alcohol problems, stayed out of trouble since etc, but saw the warning and didn't bother, given that the original case is many years old and will have been decided one way or another by now anyway.

Coldhandscoldheart · 15/01/2018 15:17

But 123evo bumped the thread 3 years ago? And then Tweety bumped it today Confused

TsunamiOfShit · 15/01/2018 15:19

I never saw the zombie warning....still can't see it! Where is it?

Tweety2067 · 15/01/2018 15:22

Oops it was trending (why?) and that was the last post.

Maryz · 15/01/2018 15:58

I saw it too Barbara (when I reported it), but it's obviously too subtle for some Hmm

And yes, I accessed it through trending, and at the time the last post was from 2015 [baffled]

Maryz · 15/01/2018 15:59

To make it clear - it was Trending BEFORE the zombie warning had even gone.

PricklyBall · 15/01/2018 16:16

I've reported it to MN, and they tell me their techies are on the case, so hopefully all will be sorted soon.

Tweety2067 · 15/01/2018 16:20

Why the Hmm faces. Why get so crabby over it? Seriously?

TsunamiOfShit · 15/01/2018 16:26

Tweety2067 Probably to make a point of being more intelligent than us who can't see the zombie warning.

PickAChew · 15/01/2018 16:34

Threads trend based on views, rather than just posts. My guess is that it has been linked somewhere before being revived.

Maryz · 15/01/2018 17:18

It demonstrates what I've said from the start of Trending (as opposed to "Most Active").

In the old days "Most Active" was the most frequently posted on threads. Now it's the "Most Viewed". The trouble is, once it gets into Trending it stays there for way to long, because everyone can see the link and so it gets more "views" Hmm

It's not an accurate representative of the most interesting threads nowadays.

x2boys · 15/01/2018 17:30

I wonder if the Op,s relative went to prison though?.....And how evo fared? ..... Grin

AstridWhite · 16/01/2018 04:34

Good grief, is this some sort of record? A zombie thread resurrected not once but twice, with 5 years and then another three years in between? Confused

Anyway, since we are all here, I agree with expat

I'd love to know what's going on in the life of the OP's charming relative today, 8 years since the thread started. Something tells me he's not turned into a Pillar Of The Community yet.

Coldhandscoldheart · 16/01/2018 09:40

@Astrid, I think the record was a poster who started a thread about a pushchair, and then came back and replied to herself three years later 😂 I’m not sure it didn’t go into classics, very funny thread.

RockNRollNerd · 16/01/2018 17:18

The thread is about six down on google. People would have been googling afresh yesterday as an England cricketer was charged with it (they may have wondered if the thread was by one of his relatives? - casts side eye at Daily Fail journos). Then it will have got views and hit trending and presumably folks ignored the zombie warning...?

viques · 17/01/2018 11:39

I thought the zombie warning was about the biting bit.........

sorry. I might have been watching Z Nation on catch up last night.
