A friend would like to have her mother come visit from pakistan. she has a 5 year old with ASD and here 9 month old has not only a serious heart condition and has been born without a kidney he has just been diagnosed with soto syndrome.

she is very down and has literally no time to herself. she really does need some help and support.

I have had a brief search but im still not sure where to start with the process.
is anyone been/going through it and can point us in the right direction please.

TIA

The mum would need to apply for a visa in Pakistan - should be a British Embassy there but if you go onto the British Embassy home page, it will tell you the requirements.

When DH's family vist from the Middle East, DH has to fax copies of his passport/wage slips - I think they like to see that the family are not going to claim anything while they are over here

We never had a problem with getting visas for the family though
