Does anyone know of good Private Client Solicitors in Edinburgh? Ours are dire - we need to move!

Hello, just wondering if anyone can offer advice on where to go for a good private client legal stuff in Edinburgh? Not very specialist stuff - land ownership and management, some tax stuff, some inheritance planning, a bit of working with Trusts.

Any recommendations?
Thanks

Gillespie Macandrew on Atholl Crescent are pretty good, my mum worked there until she retired recently. They pretty much deal with everything you have listed.

Thanks, that's helpful. I'm planing to move us quite soon and can't think of any good way to decide where to go except by word of mouth.

Chambers, the publishers, have an independent directory of lawyers which you can search online. Personally I have been using Scott Rae at Morton and Fraser for a number of years and according to the directory he is "held in high esteem for his knowledge of tax and trusts."

Right, I'll look Chambers up now. Good tip, thanks STIDW
