Finding a good family law solicitor ?

It has taken me a long time to get to this stage, but I need advice on how to find a good solicitor to help me sort out finances and divorce from H.
H wants to split finances 50/50, but I feel that this will leave me in an impossible position. He has family and friends advising him, I have nobody, so will rely on good advice.

I am just going through this now so can sympathise. Have you any friends who can recommend a solicitor they have used? Most law firms will offer you a free half hour assessment/consultation period that will help you make up your mind. Do a little research online about what to ask and what to look for in a solicitor. Wikivorce is a really good source of information.

Good luck and bon courage!
