How can I link qualifications in my maiden name after divorce

Hopefully this is a relatively straightforward question...not sure if legal is quite the place, but I am hoping someone will be knowledgeable about this.
I got married and changed name to husband's surname. All my professional qualifications were done in my maiden name though.
I am now divorced for a few years and the marriage certificate was maybe returned to court or has gone AWOL...I can't remember. I have retained my 'married' name after divorce though as we have kids etc.
I am applying for a professional course which needs to link up my original qualifications (that are in my maiden name) to me.
Does anyone know the easiest way to do this...I have a really poor photocopy of my marriage certificate, which may or may not be accepted. My divorce paperwork is all in my married name. Any ideas or suggestions?! I feel like I can't be the only person in this situation...

Can you order a new certificate from the general register office?

register in your maiden name for your new course so the qualifications align. I've elected to keep my previous name for all professional uses, and even including my passport and drivers license, because it's less hassle and attracts no nosey questions, even though I married 10 years ago, after having been widowed and changed my name for social reasons.

for a qualification, they don't normally require stingent proof of identity with formal documents (having done an MSc and numerous professional CPD qualifications over the years, I have always had the freedom to elect what I want my name to be shown as on the certificate.

can you do the same?

Birth certificate will be in your maiden name.

Thanks for speedy replies. Yes I have my original birth certificate...I didn't think of that thanks @OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon

And good to know I could potentially get a copy of the marriage certificate too @ConBatulations I will look into that.
@daisychain01 I practice (nursing) with my married name, so if I get a certificate for this course in my old name I think that might be kicking the can down the road a bit...eventually I will be applying for other jobs who may need to see proof too. I just need to have something that I can produce generally in future that links me to my old name.
Hopefully birth certificate is fine.
I have felt so flustered trying to locate the marriage certificate, I couldn't think straight.
I appreciate all your responses!
