Personal injury advice with supporting photo evidence

Hi, I had an injury last month in a garden centre 3 large, heavy plant pots were stacked too high, and 1 fell on the back of my leg, cutting so deep that I required 11 stitches at A&E - it was a huge shock and lots of blood loss. I have not contacted the garden centre, and I will be scarred for life from the cut which is 2 and a half inches long. So are there any prsonal injury advisors here that could guide me - shall I just make a complaint to the garden centre and see the response?

What did the garden centre say when you cut yourself?

@LarryForPrimeMinisterThey called 999 and my husband and a worker was given advice regarding stemming the blood loss and paramedics turned up then A&E

Was it reported at the time?

Did they assist you at the time when you were injured. Is it logged with them that you are injured?

Have you had to be off work due to the injury/unable to drive etc. collate the full facts and go back to them with a complaint. However what are you trying to get out of this?

If you want compensation, then really you should make it clear, otherwise you will just get an apology and generic so sorry blah blah.

I would suggest sending them photos of your injury and asking them to either make you an offer or refer it to their insurers.

Scarring is quite difficult to value as it is very subjective.

Ok so they are well aware. Have they followed up to check on you.

If you would need ongoing treatment you’d need to be clear, or if you need to seek (private?) cosmetic surgery to the scarring for example.

There are specific lawyers that would help with a claim, if that’s the route you want to go down.
