I am not sure if I it is ok to say to Insurance company that "I do not recall"

1. Intended to move into 1st lane but do not recall if car stated moving into the lane before the impact

Can you try again writing that? With all the information.

Just put facts.
What you do recall.

Eg
I was driving in middle lane
I signalled left.
Car in left lane moved to my lane and collided with my car.
Damage on passenger side door.

The other car will put their perspective.

Which may or may not contradict but if you say you do not recall then clearly they can make it all your fault and you might lose any no claims
Unless you had a blackout in which case see a doctor and stop driving
