Mediation but ex not showing up to see child

Hi all

Have recently started mediation with my ex who has been unbelievably inconsistent in our childs life since we split 2 years ago. We have only just gone through in initial stage of mediation but while this is going on he is still not showing up on his contact days to see our child?!!

2 weeks now in a row he has not shown up.

Is there any point in continuing going forward with mediation if even with this going on he cannot stick to his one day a week agreed contact?

So frustrating!

Use mediation to reduce the frequency? Eg if it’s fortnightly then go to monthly. It’s worth doing with a mediator because if he takes you to court then you’ll have evidence you tried to support a relationship

Whilst it’s frustrating it may help to continue with mediation when divorce is finalised. Keep a record of everything.
