Cafcass and domestic abuse

I have a question please.

ex husband is about to be charged with section 4a stalking and cohersion. Social services have ignored police advice for the last year.

he took me to court as per police advice they said to stop contact.

the last order stated cafcass should do the section 7 by 4pm today, yet are saying it’s with their legal team?

what does this mean please?

it clearly states it should be sent to us both and the courts.

theyre ignoring my messages. And it seems only just now they’re starting to look into him deeper, finally. As I got a call regarding the manager wanting to know about the times he denied to take the children to hospital so my friend had to and I contacted early help.

My officer in charged raised with them right at the start it was a continuation of abuse, yet they ignored that.

im getting really fed up and disappointed in the system

Have you spoken with the Cafcass worker and have they seen the children?

Confused394585894 · 10/09/2025 19:32

Yes. Multiple times. Court at the last hearing said they’d need to meet me again before they finalised the section seven as due to so much to cover, it went over the initial appointment time.

that didn’t happen despite me requesting it over and over again

Whats the complaints procedure?

Confused394585894 · 11/09/2025 08:31

I’m going to be looking into sorting that. My domestic abuse advocate has advised the same.

im just wondering why the section seven would be with a legal team? And why they seem to think it’s normal to ignore the date and time I was meant to receive it.

I don’t know if it’s the same with s7 as with their other reports but CAFCASS may not have served you with a copy of their report if there are safeguarding issues or other safeguarding concerns. Therefore the judge may have a copy but not the applicant and the respondent.
CAFCASS did not share their initial report with me or my ex due to safeguarding information concerning him. They disclosed at their discretion.

I did wonder this myself, as my ex has been charged with owning a dangerous weapon, stalking 4a and cohersion all towards me.

i spoke to the court this morning and they said I should have received it yesterday and cafcass have just said this morning they’ve only just sent it to the court and she’s now done with the case?!

it’s awful how all this has been handled.
