Costs order for family court CAO case

Has anyone ever managed to recoup legal costs from their ex in family court for CAO cases?

In short, the judge has added my request to recoup wasted costs to our most recent order for my ex’s vexatious/unreasonable C100 applications which led to 2 pointless hearings. We’ve got a another (hopefully final!) hearing coming up in Augustwhere the costs will be considered along with my batting order application against him.

Has anyone ever actually managed to get costs back for a CAO case before? I’ve heard that it’s very rare.

I worked in the Family Court for many years, please can you provide more information. Is he legally represented. If you use the Family Court order to issue enforcement proceedings through the civil court your chances of success depend on his financial circumstances. Is he employed, does he have any assets eg house or car (owned) etc.
There is a leaflet issued by the Courts called (something like) ‘I have a judgement but the defendant hasn’t paid’ and this will give you the various methods to enforce the court order.

I'm a solicitor, I have got a costs order against the other party on several occasions in children matters. They are not common but can be made in circumstances such as where the other party has displayed litigation misconduct. Do you have a solicitor?
