REMO child maintenance court hearing

Hey all

I'm just looking for some advice really.
I have applied for REMO against my ex who has refused to pay any money towards my son for 6 years now and his family haven't tried to help get it sorted (refused to give his new address, phone number etc so I couldn't complete the form) thankfully he had messed over a few (to say the least) women who contacted me to dish the details out so I have managed to submit the form! Woohoo!
Anyways, tomorrow I have my first court hearing - I just wondered if anyone knows what to expect at this and what to expect after this one?
What are these court sessions for?
When will he be served?
Sorry I have been given no information or assistance at all
Thanks in advance for your help everyone x

Hi, I've no idea what REMO is but is this with a tribunal? I've been to a few of these upper tier tribunals and if your exp has been dodging CM they will have a lot of questions for him regarding his finances.

All eyes will be on him so you should just be able to sit back and hopefully watch him squirm. They will probably ask you if you have anything you would like to say/add.

Sadly my exp refused to supply any evidence though, despite it being requested several times. And he thinks he is above the law and doesn't need to answer to anyone, but hopefully I hope your exp is not quite as bold as that. He should be asked to produce evidence of his outgoings etc too if ots similar to what I experienced.

Which country is it in ?

I'm in the UK and he is in Australia.

It turns out they gave me the wrong log-in details so I missed my hearing, I am devastated. They've emailed the legal advisor with my details but I don't know if they can help/will have the capacity to even see me today.

Apparently he isn't aware of this happening yet and it's a while off. Though I do hope this does happen in the future as I'll really enjoy it.

Sadly my ex is like yours and will do everything and anything to avoid it, he will probably hire expensive lawyers -, the lot.
He doesn't take well to being told what to do so he will have tantrums!
Did your ex eventually submit the documents required? Did the court enforce it and just take the money directly out his wages?
I never understand these horrible men who do this to their own flesh and blood. He has the cheek to make up lies to the new women who actually find out that he has a son he tells them he has bought my son a house and has opened a savings account with his mother and they've put LOADS in it, all fabricated of course. I also apparently have multiple kids to multiple men, no I have one other child because I have moved on from you which I am entitled to do so as me having children is nothing to do with you! But apparently the reason he doesn't give me money directly is because 'he isn't paying for other people's kids...' you weren't paying for 5 years before I had another child 😂 honestly some "men" absolute disgraces. I have had so many upset women contact me about what he's put them through, he won't change he's incapable. I am hoping this will solve him not paying his way but after today I'm not sure it will. I feel so deflated I just want to sit and cry.

Thank you for replying btw, I'm so sorry your ex has done this to you too. X

P.s REMO is re-enforced maintenance order. It's an agreement between certain countries to help people obtain child support from overseas but it's a long slow process.
Today was meant to be my first hearing which I waited 6 months for after the initial 4/5 months that I had submitted the documents for. Xx
