Domestic Abuse, Coercion and a Divorce

I left H due to domestic abuse and left with nothing. He's spent all the money we had. Divorce process is about to start. I have a good salary but all my money goes on rent, bills and buying basic furniture. I have no spare money and don't qualify for legal aid support.
Part of me doesn't want to fight for my right to a share if assets because it's too hard emotionally and financially. Part of me just wants what is rightfully mine. I really don't know what to do.

You need to get a financial settlement as part of your divorce. If you don't, he will be able to make a claim against you whenever he wants, even years into the future.
