What do you need advice on? Is it an adults or children’s social worker you need?

ImNotARegularMomIACoolMom · 22/03/2025 19:58

Or even any solicitors

I've seen your other post and you need to calmly make a complaint first. Provide your evidence - utility bills, medical evidence etc.

I’m scared if I make a complaint it will only escalate things

In my team making complaints doesn’t affect any decisions. We get complaints that are justified and many that aren’t, they’re written by disgruntled parents.

So the complaints that are justified are they still disgruntled parents or not?

A complaint is registered and logged. If you make a complaint and they change how they treat you, it will be recorded and noticed.

You seem to have an issue with ONE social worker, make the office aware of this issue and they will LIKELY change the social worker. As soon as you make a noise you make yourself heard, raging inside your own head isn't the same.

Make the office know that you and this social worker cannot engage together as you feel unsafe, misinterpeted, vilified and intimidated her reports do not reflect the reality you can prove with receipts.

You are clearly intimidated at the thought of challenging a social worker, They know this and take it seriously.

i didn’t word my response well. Some complaints are justified and held and some aren’t. Complaints are treated with utmost respect and the response carefully considered in my team. I’ve been a social worker for years and parents and carers are never treated differently because of a complaint and if anything they are treated better because the social worker is more careful with what they write. We change social workers at the icpcc as the children move from assessment team to one of the long term teams if placed on CP or CIN, presume this hasn’t happened for your child/ren?

I've seen your other thread. Of course you should make a complaint asap about the conduct of the sw'er, with evidence of your shopping etc. people are so naieve and think all sw'ers are good, which they clearly aren't.

I made a complaint and I'm glad I did.

We did this, we had no luck, I used to be a social worker in a children's team, it wasn't a great experience to be honest, but I have seen (due to family members children) things from both sides.
What are you complaining about though?can you say?
