Sex offender father- parental responsibility taken?

Hi my child’s father has been found guilty of various child sexual abuse charges. 20+ charges. He has been sentenced to around 15 years in prison. He is on our child’s birth certificate and he is classed as a really high risk predator and is also a threat to his own child. Could I go to court to get his parental rights taken? I want to keep my child safe but unsure how it all works? Has anyone been through the same thing and can share their experience? Did the court grant it, did they not?

Thankyou

You might not get his PR taken but you can get an order to prevent all contact. You need legal advice

just edited to add I have worked with sexual offenders who are in prison and they still have PR even though they don’t see the children

Contact Dr Charlotte Proudman. She’s a barrister. Look her up on Instagram if you haven’t heard of her.
