Ex wife refusing to collect her belongings from marital home

My son is acrimoniously divorced and his about to complete the sale of the marital home. He still lives there, his ex wife moved out several months ago. She already has her personal items and my son has contacted her and told her she can have whatever she wants from the house as the sale is imminent. She is refusing to respond although she has told a relative she wants everything. Can he just get rid of everything if she still hasn't responded by the time the house clearance people arrive? There is nothing worth much at all. Also can she stop them clearing the house if she turns up and creates a scene? Presumably he can call the police if that happens. It wouldn't be the first time they've removed her from the property.

You said on your other thread that she's in agreement about the house sale?

This doesn't make sense.

Why wouldn't it make sense?
It would be a very easy way to piss off an ex and make them stressed.

Have movers take everything to a storage facility.

Have lawyer wrote to wife giving her 28 days to retrieve said belongings. After which they will be disposed of appropriately.

Done.

She has agreed to the sale. She is being vindictive
