Childs passport renewal no contact with father

Hi all any help is very much appreciated.

my sons passport is up for renewal and out of my sons choice he has had zero contact with his father for just over the past year. however the form dose ask for fathers passport number this is information I don’t have unfortunately. will this be hard to get it renewed with just my details on the form. My son is turning 15 in May.

. his dad is on the birth certificate and my son has his surname.

. I have had my son on holiday abroad 2 times abroad since my son stopped contact.

. I do feel like his dad could be difficult if I ask for his passport details as well that’s the way he is 🤷🏻‍♀️

. I have took my son on holiday abroad 6 times (3 times with my mam 3 times just me and my son)

I would just send it off and say in the notes the father has no contact with the family. They’ll figure it out - it’s a renewal after all

I just put a letter in explaining there has been no contact with father since xxx it wasn't an issue. They will have his details from the previous passport anyway.

As its a renewal just put all the details you have and miss out the info you don't have. Maybe put a bit in the notes section to say you don't have contact and can't get the other passport details.
