No Win, No Fee Personal Injury Claim Advice

Hi all,

So recently my partner got hit by a car on a Zebra crossing. My partner was already over half way across the crossing and the car just didn't stop. Driver claimed to have not seen him. He was knocked about 5m down the road, suffered concussion and had a week off work due to all his soft issue impact trauma making it difficult for him to lift his arms. I'm also pretty sure he had whiplash.

We were thinking of going ahead with a claim as my partner is self employed and it woukd at least cover his loss of earning. Has anybody used any no win, no fee personal injury firms? What ones do people suggest? I feel like this is the kind of situation where word of mouth and recommendations are going to be better than just goggling and using the first result to come up.

TIA!

Firstly did the driver stop and give all his insurance and contact details, as you should be able to just put a claim in with his insurers. Did your husband contact the police to notify of the accident.

Did he attend the hospital for x-rays and for any treatment re the concussion etc.

The driver stopped but he only gave his mobile number and address to my partner. I did ask him for his insurance details but he isn't replying to me.

The police have been informed of the incident, yes. But they have not got back to us yet (it happened just under 2 weeks ago). And yes, we went to A&E (many hours we wonr het back) and he had a CT scan which is when they found the concussion and confirmed his spft tissue impact damage.

Do you have the vehicle details, make model and registration number ? How many times have you asked for his insurance details ?

We have make, model, reg, home address and first name of the man. I asked the day of the accident, rhe following day, and once again today. He is refusing to pass the information over because we reported the incident to the police (you know, the LEGAL thing to do...). I have informed them that he isn't passing his details over and they said to not worry too much as there is an ongoing police investigation anyway.
