Recommendations for STEP-accredited Wills/Trusts Lawyers or Firms?

Dear MNetters,

We would welcome any personal recommendations for a STEP-accredited Wills/Trusts Lawyers or Firms.

Looking through the STEP register doesn't help with trying to choose!

We have no legal knowledge and would like someone/a firm that can explain things to us honestly and in very plain terms. We are trying to decode a complicated Will which has a Trust set up in it.

Thanks!

All STEP accredited firms have been through the same training process.

If you want to meet in person I would just call a couple near you and see when you can schedule an appointment. All STEP accredited solicitors should have the skills to interpret a Will for you. It's just a question of cost for the meeting and when they can see you/schedule a telephone or online meeting.

Source: I'm a STEP accredited solicitor specialising in Wills and Probate. I have about a three week wait for appointments at the moment.

I would go with a STEP solicitor at a medium to large firm in my area.
