Any police officers around?

I'm dealing with an exh who is regularly verbally abusive to me via email.

I'm trying to grey rock it for the most part, but I'm also 39 weeks pregnant and quite emotional!! So today I emailed him and requested that he stopped resorting to verbal abuse at every opportunity or I would make a report to the police. A few more exchanges later I referred back to when I last made a report (mid divorce) of him threatening to kill me and told him that the police had wanted to arrest him, and would have done had I not begged them not to.

He's come back saying I'm lying and at the time when I informed him via my solicitor that a report to the police had been made, he immediately went to the police station who looked at the report and informed him that I was wasting their time and he hadn't done anything wrong.

Obviously he's lying as I know what the police's position was at the time, but just wondering if that could have happened - ie would someone be able to just turn up at the police station and get someone to look up any reports on them there and then? To then be told there was no issue?!

Im not planning on arguing any further with him on this but just wondering...

Actually ignore the above, I've calmed down and googled it and it's quite obvious that he'd have to submit a SAR online for access to any info and that would have taken a month to process. I'll go back to quietly grey rocking now 🤣
