How long to hear decision after family court gateway hearing?

Does anybody know how long it takes to hear from the family court to find out what was decided at a gateway hearing? The hearing was a week ago and we still haven’t heard anything. Is there any way to find out other than waiting for a letter eg the family court phone line?

There's an explanation of the process here;

https://childlawadvice.org.uk/information-pages/what-happens-before-a-first-hearing/

so far as I can see it's intended to decide the type/seniority of judiciary to actually deal with the issues at stake. Looking at the actions required of the court once a decision has been made I'd suspect the issue is getting the admin sorted.

Best bet is to rung the court or, if you've a lawyer acting ask them.

Thanks for replying, @Bromptotoo. I know what the gatekeeping hearing was for, what I can’t find online is how long it will take for the court to tell us what was decided.

We were actually sent the C100, C1A, C7 and told to respond before the gatekeeping hearing, which according to that timeline should be sent after the gatekeeping hearing, along with the C6 and Allocation/Gatekeeping order. It’s all a bit confusing. Other websites say the same but that isn’t what has happened.

Unfortunately, you can’t contact the family court directly any more, there is just a national helpline that can only offer limited information. They can’t contact the actual court directly to chase paperwork either unless it is less than 48 hours before the hearing. There is a direct email but you just get an auto reply saying that there is a 4 week delay in responding currently 😂

If anyone has any personal experience of how long it took, that would be helpful!
