Can I access an accident report from a private company

There was an accident. They phoned me to run me through the final report verbally but won’t allow me to see a written version of the report. Would i have any legal ability to access that document? Google tells me the freedom of information act is for public bodies and SAR is for private. But asking for information on anything personal they have in me, would that include a report like the one described?

SAR includes the right to see any data held by the company about you, this may well be redacted to remove any personally identifiable data about other people but should include the accident report with names of the people who completed it and attended to you crossed out.

Can I ask on behalf of a child as their legal guardian?
