Expired photo card license/ insurance claim :(

I was in an accident today where I was at fault, new bumper needed for my car I imagine and other vehicle only minor damage to paint work.
realised when got home my Photo card drivers license is 1 month out of date! Absolutely panicking! Will this void my insurance? I applied for new one as soon as I noticed (3 hours after incident) I had already put the claim in with insurance before I realised so they are unaware of it being out of date at time of accident.
next question
will the insurance company tell when I applied to renew license (date/time etc)??
im not sure if i should own up to insurance company or not mention in, in hope they won’t notice?
Pls help, im so worried it could cost me thousands:(

It's only the photo thats out of date, not your actual licence.

They won't care / check, honestly. You still have a valid licence, you just need to renew your photo licence.
Don't give it any more thought 💐

I really hope they don’t! A lot of contradicting info online! Thank you both for replying🙏🏻

This has happened to me before, it was fine. I even checked with the insurance company as was panicking and they confirmed the license is still valid, it’s just the photo card that expires. They paid no problem.

That is really reassuring to hear, thank you so much

Can I ask the outcome of this? My partner is currently having the same issue and we are worried the insurance won’t pay out.

Hi sorry I’ve just seen this. Everything was fine they never checked, claim went through and car now fixed! Was never asked for licence details by insurance company :)

I have the same problem but my insurance company asked for my licence details so very worried about this. Could you tell me how it went for your partner? Thank you
